20 km away from the village. "El GalpĒn del Glaciar"
recreates the spirit of a Patagonian ranch and it offer
a thorough presentation of all the rural activities.
The program starts at 6 pm with a reception including
the typical tea drank at Patagonian ranches. Visitors
will be able to try different varieties of breads,cakes
pudings,regional jams and homemade pastries and cookies
At 6:30 pm the guided tour to the old Shearing House
begins.The Ranch guides give a talk about the exploita
tion, production, packing and transport of wool before
the shearing show. At around 7 pm the herding of sheep
with Australian Kelpies and Border Collies begins.
Afterwards there's a walk through the Interpretation
path of the Patagonic Flora and bird sight seeing at
the Birds' Lagoon Natural Reserve, declared Importance
Area for the Conservation of Bird Species.
Dinner is programmed at 8:30 p.m.
Menu: Roasted lamb, beef, sausages and boneless chicken
Organic salads produced at the ranch, and dessert.
At around 9:30 pm there's a Folclore and Tango show
with local artists, until 10:30 pm when all the
activities come to an end.
